Dan Harrison excels aboard JHS Racing Minitwin at Snetterton Thundersport round
JHS Racing enjoyed a successful weekend
at Round 3 of the Thundersport GB series at
Norfolk's Snetterton circuit, with a fresh
crop
of silverware and a new lap record to their
credit.
Star of the weekend was Team JHS's Dan Harrison aboard the SV650 Minitwin, taking four overall podiums in the Supertwins class, four Minitwins victories,
and finally crowning his achievements by setting a new Minitwins
lap record during the last race on Sunday with a time of 1:19:243. This was the first time in years that
a genuine Minitwin was able to race for a win against the more powerful Supertwins and lighter Aprilia 450s.
Dan's achievements were all the more remarkable for the fact that he was
returning after a six month lay-off from racing and his first sight of the JHS Racing
SV650 Minitwin wasn't until Friday practice.
The weekend also saw Alastair Fagan - of Fast Bikes magazine, and with many years' experience racing with Team JHS - make his first outing on the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 that
JHS are developing for the 2013 TT races.
Alastair scored two top-ten positions on
Sunday and narrowly missed out on a Bike Insurer GP1 podium in the final race.
Team owner James Holland said: "The team has worked exceptionally hard to get to this meeting and the results show this. The new Suzuki GSX-R1000 is working really
well and we are pleased with progress on this project with Suzuki GB. The performance put in by Dan on the Suzuki SV650 Minitwins machine just shows that Suzuki is still
the machine for this class".
The team now finalise their preparations for the Isle of Man TT, where Manxman Dave Moffitt will ride the JHS Racing Suzuki GSX-R 1000 in the Senior, Superbike and Superstock
races. Manx GP winner Moffitt will also return to piloting the SV650 Supertwin, on which he just missed out on a top ten in 2012.

JHS Racing partner with Suzuki GB for busy 2013 season
After a successful season last year, Bristol-based JHS Racing has partnered with Suzuki GB for 2013 and will focus on the Isle of Man TT, plus other pure road races.
The team made its TT debut in 2012 after winning several Manx GPs as well as entering the inaugural Lightweight TT on the firm’s Suzuki SV650 Supertwin,
with Manxman Dave Moffitt on board. The team narrowly missed out on a top-ten result.
For 2013, JHS Racing is expanding its rider line-up and welcomes Juha Kallio to the team. The ‘Flying Finn’ will join journalist Bruce Dunn at the North West 200 on a
brace of JHS Racing Suzuki SV650 Supertwins.
A few weeks later, Kallio will jet to the Isle of Man and join Dave Moffitt for a full event’s racing. Juha is set to ride a Suzuki SV650 Supertwin again, plus a
Suzuki GSX-R600 in the Supersport race, while Moffitt will look to mount the podium in the Lightweight TT and jump on to a Suzuki GSX-R1000 for the Superstock, Superbike
and Senior races.
JHS Racing will also have a presence on the short circuits, with Fast Bikes magazine’s Alastair Fagan campaigning a Suzuki GSX-R1000 in Thundersport GB’s GP1 class, plus
a few National Superstock wildcards. Fagan is joined by the RAF’s Simon Critchlow, who narrowly missed out on winning the Combined Military Services championship in 2012.
Team manager, James Holland, said "We are very happy to be working with Suzuki at long last. We have worked hard and hopefully we can show this in 2013’s results for JHS
Racing and Suzuki."

Aaron Walker had his first experience of
the JHS 'factory' Supertwins machine at the
Thundersport GB race meeting at Cadwell Park
(21-22 Sept). Walker was quick to make
good use of
the machine's potential, taking first place
in race 3 ahead of the talented Josh Daley.
He stormed his way through the Aprilia 450
riders at the front, demonstrating the
outstanding build quality and capabilities
of this race-winning machine. Walker, who is
an accomplished campaigner with 600
Supersport machinery, was impressed, saying “This Supertwins
machine is outstanding; I really love it.
I'd be keen to ride it again at the next
Thundersport round, if there are any
sponsors who wish to be involved!”.
