About JHS Racing

Competitive results, affordable prices

JHS Racing Ltd is now firmly established as one of the country’s leading motorcycle tuning centres. JHS was started by James Holland in the mid 1990s, founded upon a passion for motorcycles, racing, development and an excellence in engineering.

We maintain, repair, modify and fabricate to only the very highest standard. Being a small business we personally care about our customers too, and you can be assured of receiving exceptional and committed service from our customer advisors. JHS Reception is managed by Vikki, who can also be contacted via email or telephone to help you with any services or products enquiries.

Our racing experience stretches from classic pre-1965 motorcycles through to British Superbikes. We have worked with notable figures such as Mick Andrews, Victor Cox, Dave Moffit, Aaron Walker and, more recently, the hugely successful YouTube channel 44 Teeth. Since 2012 we have been entering a team at the TT, and have also been present in the Thundersport GB paddock as the official technical representation on behalf of Öhlins Racing.

We’re really passionate about road bikes too, and are distinctive in being a workshop that offers routine servicing, maintenance and repair for all types of motorcycle, delivered by the same skilled race mechanics that fettle our track machines.

We also operate a thriving mail order parts and accessories supply service (www.jhsracingstore.co.uk). JHS has an established local, national & international customer base.

On the racing side of our operation we provide bespoke engineering, engine building and tuning services, and we’re an approved Dynojet Tuning Centre. This provides the means to measure, prove and refine our tuning techniques for optimum performance; bearing in mind that optimal performance doesn’t necessarily always mean peak power if it’s achieved at the expense of usable mid-range torque.

Workshop services for all types of bike
Although our reputation for excellence is founded in our specialist experience with race tuning, JHS offer the full range of workshop services applicable to any type of motorcycle, whether for use on road or track, or both.

JHS aim to continue the steady growth of our business by offering the highest standards of service to all motorcyclists in the South West. We always try to bring the same levels of discipline, commitment and experience that has made our racing operation so successful to everything we do, whether it’s a major engine rebuild or simple routine servicing or tyre replacement.

Above all, JHS strive to offer realistic and competitive rates, confident that we can exceed the levels of service offered by main dealers without fleecing our customers with exorbitant main dealer prices.

Whatever your requirements, contact JHS first. Friendly, helpful, professional and committed to satisfying every one of our customers, we promise you won’t be disappointed.

44 Teeth
JHS have provided workshop services for Alastair Fagan and Chris Eades’ 44 Teeth web magazine and YouTube channel. Our association with Al Fagan goes way back to when he was a rider for the JHS race team, competing in BSB and at the TT. We’ve supported several of 44 Teeth’s Budget Bike Battles, in which Al & Chris buy cheap old bikes and undertake road-trip based quests. Frequently these budget machines will spend a good deal of time in our workshop before they’re anywhere near fit for duty!
